Start by lubricating hinges and the locking mechanism. If the issue continues, it may need adjustment. During the settling down period, adjustments are completed free of charge. After this period, service visits may be chargeable unless a manufacturing defect or installation fault is identified.

There is condensation between my glass panes, is this covered?

Condensation between the panes can indicate a sealed unit failure. Contact us with photos and your installation details, we will arrange an inspection and confirm the remedy in line with your guarantee terms.

Can you service windows and doors you did not install?

We primarily service products we have installed, because we hold records and can source compatible parts. Contact us to discuss your situation, in some cases we may be able to help.

How long does a service visit take?

Most routine adjustments and minor repairs are completed within an hour. If parts are required, a follow up visit may be needed once parts arrive.

We provide service visits throughout Hampshire, Berkshire, Surrey, Dorset, West Sussex, Oxfordshire, and Wiltshire, the same areas we serve for installations.

What does the Brackenwood ten year guarantee cover?

Your installation is covered for ten years, subject to the terms, conditions, and exclusions in your contract. Where an issue is caused by a manufacturing defect or an installation fault, we will put it right in line with the guarantee terms.

Why is there a call out fee for some service visits?

A call out charge may apply for issues caused by wear and tear, usage, environmental exposure, or lack of maintenance. If we later confirm the visit was required due to a manufacturing defect or installation fault, any call out charge paid is refunded in full.

Settling Down Adjustments and Service Visits

Following installation, it is normal for newly fitted windows and doors to require minor adjustments as part of an initial settling down period.

Where required, Brackenwood will attend and carry out such settling down adjustments free of charge. For clarity and reassurance, this free adjustment period applies for up to twelve months from the date of installation.

After this period, service visits for issues arising from normal wear and tear, usage, environmental exposure, or failure to maintain products in line with our aftercare guidance may be subject to a reasonable call out charge, in line with our published aftercare charges.

Where a chargeable visit is later found to be necessary due to a manufacturing defect or an installation fault, rather than wear and tear, any call out charge paid will be refunded in full.
