Buying with Confidence from Brackenwood

When you decide the time is right to transform your home, you should be able to proceed with confidence. At Brackenwood, that confidence comes from clear processes, accountable workmanship, and long term protection you can rely on.

Our experienced and knowledgeable team will guide you through every stage of your project, from initial advice and design considerations, through survey and installation, and into long term aftercare. We do not subcontract our installations, and we remain responsible for the work we carry out.

Our Ten Year Guarantee

Every Brackenwood installation is covered by a ten year guarantee, provided in addition to your statutory consumer rights.

This guarantee reflects our confidence in the quality of our products, our installation standards, and our commitment to supporting customers long after installation is complete.

Where a fault is covered, Brackenwood will repair or replace the affected component in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

Adjustments and Settling Down Period

Following installation, it is normal for newly fitted windows and doors to require minor adjustments as part of an initial settling down period.

Where required, Brackenwood will attend and carry out these adjustments free of charge.

Most settling down adjustments arise within the first weeks or months following installation. For clarity and reassurance, we extend this adjustment period to up to twelve months from the date of installation.

After this period, issues arising from normal wear and tear, usage, environmental exposure, or failure to maintain products in line with our aftercare guidance may be subject to a reasonable call out charge, in line with our published aftercare charges.

Where a chargeable visit is later found to be necessary due to a manufacturing defect or an installation fault, rather than wear and tear, any call out charge paid will be refunded in full.

What the Guarantee Does Not Cover

As with all installation guarantees, certain exclusions apply.

Glass breakage is not covered. Accidental damage to glass, including breakage, is not considered a fault and is excluded from the guarantee. This is standard across the industry.

The appearance of tarnishing, surface wear, weathering, or cosmetic deterioration of window and door furniture over time is not a defect. These changes are a normal result of use and environmental exposure and are treated as wear and tear.

Issues caused by storm damage, existing building defects, or elements of the property not installed by Brackenwood are also excluded.

Full details of all exclusions are set out in our Terms and Conditions.

Your Responsibilities

To ensure your guarantee remains valid, you are responsible for:

• Paying the full contract price in accordance with your agreement
• Maintaining products in line with Brackenwood’s aftercare guidance
• Notifying us promptly if a defect becomes apparent
• Ensuring that repairs are only carried out by Brackenwood

Unauthorised third party repairs or failure to follow maintenance guidance may invalidate the guarantee.
